Hi, my name is Chishio Furukawa. I currently work as an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics in Yokohama National University in Yokohama, Japan.
My research interests include:
- microeconomic models of communication and statistical decisions
- public economics and political economy
- applied statistical methods in meta-analyses
Prior to my current position, I was a Ph.D. student at the Department of Economics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I received my Ph.D. in 2020, and was supervised by Abhijit Banerjee and Stephen Morris. Between 2018 and 2020, I was also a visiting researcher at the Center for Research and Education in Program Evaluation (CREPE) at the Faculty of Economics, the University of Tokyo.
